Robin van Puyenbroeck serves as pro-bono as EUCLID’s Special Representative in New York, with the rank of Under Secretary General, and has done so since 2013.
From 2006 to 2009, Robin was Vice President at ING Global Clients in New York where he managed relationships between senior officials of multinational corporations and all facets of the bank. In this capacity he worked with major corporations from the aerospace, engineering and packaging sectors. Before moving to New York Robin was Business Manager of the Natural Resources sector at ING Global Clients in Amsterdam. He also worked for ING in Brussels and Toronto. Prior to joining ING he was an attorney with Ernst & Young Law in Brussels.
Over the years, Robin has built a strong foothold in the international affairs arena and he has been actively engaged in numerous non-profit boards. He serves as Vice-President of the United Nations Association of NY and has served as a Steering Committee Member of the New Leaders program at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.
Robin holds an LL.M. in international law (Hons.) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a JD (Hons.) from the University of Ghent, Belgium. He also studied European law at the Universidad de Valencia, Spain, and holds a Certificate in Global Affairs (Hons.) from New York University. He speaks Flemish, English, French, Spanish and some German.
Since 2015, he has been Vice-President for Business Development with Ethan Allen and resides in the greater New York City area.
