Winston Dookeran was appointed by the Oversight Council as EUCLID’s second Secretary-General, effective July 1, 2020. A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, and Central Bank Governor, Mr Dookeran brings a wealth of international experience to the institution. Winston Dookeran, an LSE (London School of Economics) graduate, will continue to serve as Professor of Practice at the University of the West Indies.
Winston Dookeran will take over from Syed Zahid Ali who served as the institution’s first Secretary-General since 16 April 2008.
