The EUCLID School of Global Health and Bioethics is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Vijay Kumar Chattu as Research Professor and Doctoral Fellow.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Chattu is a licensed medical doctor (registered in India and Trinidad & Tobago) & internationally accredited global health specialist with an MBBS, MD (Community Medicine) from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram and MPH in International Health Development from Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp (Belgium). Later he worked as a postdoc at Department of Epidemiology at UCLA under the NIH-Fogarty grant and recently did MPhil in Management from Stellenbosch University as well as a Post master’s Certificate in Global Mental Health from Harvard Medical School in 2014. Currently he is a faculty member at public health unit teaching the MBBS and MPH graduate students at the University of the West Indies and also a visiting senior research fellow in global health diplomacy at Institute of International Relations in Trinidad and Tobago. He is also the Coordinator for Caribbean states at the World NCD Federation based in India. Dr. Vijay is a recipient of prestigious Fellowships from Harvard University (2013), United Nations University (2013), WHO-IARC in Cancer Epidemiology (France, 2012), Salzburg Global Fellow (Austria, 2016 & 2010), NIH-Fogarty International Fellow (UCLA, 2007).
